Happy New Year!!!

It has been a while since I’ve written in English, since my Spanish blog seems to be taking most of my time. But I didn’t want to finish this year without few words about what we have been through and what is to come, planetary wise.

Since the big cardinal T-square has been taking place, from the middle of 2010, we had our great share of change. Europe finances have gotten worse, Tunisia, Egypt and Libya have had revolutions that have brought anxiety and profound change, not only to the region, but to the world at large. But all this started really in the beginning of 2008 when Pluto entered Capricorn for the first time and then during 2009, when Uranus in Pisces made an opposition to Saturn in Virgo activating that opposition of the 60′s which happened the other way around with Uranus in Virgo and Saturn in Pisces, kind of sending that generation born in the 60′s into a real journey of self analysis and introspection willingly or unwillingly.

We all tried desperately to stick to what we had, knowing unconsciously that the big changes were coming and that that will mean a period where we will reach a point of no return. Curiously there are still people that think: ” Oh well! Things never really change…” Hellooooo!!!!!! what dimension are in?

The square of Uranus and Pluto once again coincided with historical moments of revolution and revolt. We know by now that the last time we had a similar T-square involving Uranus-Saturn and Pluto was in 1927-1930 for the Great Depression. This time around we had a big Recession and we are still in it. At least in Spain, where I live now. In the 60′s when Pluto and Uranus were conjuncted in Virgo and Saturn opposed them for a while around 1965, we also had the Vietnam War and great moments of revolts in the States, in France and various other countries. But in 2012 and exactly as from June, the square of Uranus in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn will be in full swing until 2015. Whatever is outdated and still standing up will come down with a force. Unfortunately sometimes literally,which might mean more earthquakes and explosions of some sort. We also need to take into consideration that from now until June 2012 we will be experiencing a Grand Trine of Jupiter in Taurus to Mars in Virgo and to Pluto in Capricorn, which will somehow make us feel more optimistic, due to some financial improvement that we may experience in that period, making us think that the big changes are over and that we are on our way to recovery, but we must really wait until this Pluto-Uranus square is well over, before we can jump up and down and start spending again. I really don’t want to sound negative nor I pretend to know what is going to happen, but what is true is that unexpected event which are life changing are still coming our way. Nothing wrong with that, except that the uncertainty could be quite stressing and disconcerting. At the same time, I personally think that all these changes were well overdue, so I am quite happy to be part of this historical period. Still, I don’t dream that what needs to be corrected and the years of abuse of the classes in power, will happen in my life time, but i certainly hope it happens in my daughter’s life time. Am I being too optimistic?

Well, since I am an incorrigible optimistic, I think that all these changes happening now are taking us to better places. One thing is clear. There is no way we can allow the death of millions of children for lack of water or food, as it happens everyday, when some part of the population live with excessive wealth, that they will never spend in 2 or 3 lives. There should be food for all of us if we just organize ourselves properly. Don’t you agree? And we can allow these people that we elect to represent us, to spend our money in their own benefit. I guess I am also an incorrigible Uranian person which means that the slavery of people, especially women and children still going on, sickens me greatly.

The cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) lives will remain challenging during 2012, yet there seems to be some kind of light in the horizon. For those born on the first 15 days of each of these signs, things are well on their way to recovery if you are prepared to deal with the fact that things still will be on “changing mode” as the Pluto-Uranus square will continue to affect the 8º to 11º of these signs for the next 3 years. 2012 is the year that starts with the retrograde of Mars in Virgo, meaning that instead of spending 2 month in this sign, as it usually does, it will be in Virgo until the 3rd of July, putting some pressure and great upheavals to Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces, especially. But Mars is only negative when we don’t live an active life. The best way to operate under a square of Mars is to become aware of what annoys us and deal with it. If you try to be “nice” all the time, then you will get the worst of Mars. It is about getting things done. Fast and efficiently.

On February 3rd, Neptune will finally move to Pisces for the next 14 years, it will enter Aries on January 2026. Those people with planets in the early degrees of Gemini-Virgo-Sagittarius and Pisces will feel the call of Neptune to visit the world of Utopia, the Olympus, the Source. How each of us handle this kind of experience will decide if this is a positive or a negative thing in our lives. Neptune temps us to stay “there”, how we used to call it in the seventies when we were high, visiting the realm of Neptune. “Being there” meant that place where things are as we would like them to be. Where we can be who we want to be. Where we don’t need words to communicate. Creativity that doesn’t need expression, total union with Source, books without words, paintings without paint, on the positive side, but also the terror of unwelcome visitors, characters we can’t manage, who may torture us from beyond, from a distant past that we can’t explain. Neptune may mean temporary madness, as the more Dionysian side of it becomes active. Our imagination takes over and we find it really difficult to see reality, whatever that might mean at the time. If you have a creative outlet for your imagination, then you might experience your most creative period, still putting down in paint or words or movement, might be always disappointing, since nothing will ever be like in our imagination.

On a positive note, Neptune in Pisces (read my article about it on this blog) might mean a period when we all become increasingly aware that we may have the possibility to change the world and help each other, rather than continue saying :”Oh well, nothing ever changes” . If only we could forget our differences and cling to the feeling that WE ARE ALL ONE… If Neptune in Pisces doesn’t do that I don’t know what will. the New Moon in February 21st will mark the beginning of this cycle since the lunation happens at 2º Pisces in conjunction to Neptune at 0º.

March will see the Grand Trine of Mars in Virgo, Venus-Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn, all at around 9º, so for those with planets in those signs it could be a truly positive month when things suddenly get a boost of positivism and great possibilities. Saturn will finally leave Libra to enter Scorpio on October 5th and will remain there till December 24th 2014. Saturn enters Scorpio forming a trine to Neptune in Pisces. This could be a very healing aspect as Saturn gently reminds Neptune of what needs to be brought to reality. This trine is already active now, since they are are a trine distance at the moment in spite of Saturn being in Libra.

New Moon in Sagittarius and partial solar Eclipse – 24-25 November 2011

This upcoming New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on November 24th and 25th, will be seen only from the Antartic region in their long summer days and also in New Zealand in the evening.

In this new moon, the Sun, the Moon and the North node, Mercury and Venus are in Sagittarius, forming a strong constellations of energies from this sign. Mars, now well into Virgo from November 11th, makes a square to the lunación and an opposition to Chiron in PISCES, thus forming a T square with the new moon. What does Mars and Quirón in opposition say?, it’s a bit as if a cosmic finger poking into the deeper wound and confronting us with the need of healing it..
Chiron is an asteroid that moves around the Sun between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus, therefore it is generational. Chiron speaks not only of personal, individual wound but also the transgenerational, meaning the madness or daimon we carry, without realizing it, unconsciously keeping true to the family madness. As the choices of profession, partner, health, etc. And I am not speaking only of the cultural conditioning, though this is also very relevant, but of the collective family unconscious, as Jung would call it. Although Freud was the fist one to say: “the archaic heritage of human beings, comprises not only disposition but also subject matter, – memory traces of the experience or earlier generations”
Therefore Chiron in our chart, especially if in contact with the Sun, the Moon, Saturno, or the 4 or 10 or 12 House tells us how we express the family wound.
In the eclipse, the Moon for a brief moment hides the Sun’s rays, leaving in darkness some part of the Earth, as if to give us the impulse to seek within ourselves, with the lantern of instintual wisdom, what are the areas that we must heal, to keep progressing in our journey.
At times, even when everything is going very well, there are moments of melancholy that we can’t explain. We say: “I don’t have any reason to be unhappy and still, I am” usually Chiron is at the base of these feelings to help us explore our family memory, in order to understand our pain, bring it into consciousness and this way, dispel it.
Fortunately this new moon in Sagittarius gives us impetus to expand, to search, to overcome obstacles like no other. It whispers in our ears: “Go on, if you look, you’ll find,” “If you ask, you’ll get”. There is much life and wonderful things happening out there, all the time”.
Sagittarius is an optimistic sign and a tireless seeker, “If happiness is not here, I will seek somewhere else for it”, says Sagittarius.
Sagittarius and Chiron are represented by the Centaur, half man, half horse. The man’s struggle with his part beast, and especially the lower half of the man, his sexuality.
We must not forget that Sagittarius is the sign that comes after Scorpio, where we face our sexuality in earnest.
Sagittarius invites us to study, to investigate, it lifts us spiritual and philosophically, it shows us that there is something else in our nature apart from the beast.

Mercury stations retrograde on the night of the Eclipse, forcing us to introspection especially on matters we have been neglecting. Perhaps not the ideal time for financial decisions but as Venus moves to Capricorn this will change, and we’ll get the chance to face up to our real possibilities to improve our financial situation.
Eclipses make things happen, except that perhaps not the way we had planned it. Still, enjoy the Sagittarian optimism keeping your feet firm on the ground.

Steve Jobs dies at the age of 56. R.I.P.

This incredible mind that changed our lives has passed. Although I am not sure about the source of this time of birth, This chart seems to suits him perfectly. There is another one around.
Aquarius ASC with Mercury rising “The King of communication”, Sun and Moon in Pisces, he truly united us all, through technology! The perfect job for a Piscean, with Aquarius rising.
His grand cross, involving the six house as one of the apex, with Jupiter and Uranus there, speaks volume of his struggle and success in developing his “visionary” (Jupiter) work (6th house)through technology (Uranus), as well as his struggle with cancer. Pisces always has a hard time with being in the body as the natural opposite sign of Virgo, and they struggle with incarnation. The T-square of Neptune opposite Mars and square the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, explains at least to me, his dedication to his work, above everything else, as well as his amazing vision of the future, as a true Aquarian.

Luna Nueva en Libra y el caso Troy Davis

After an absence of few days, i feel the need to mention the coincidence of the execution of Troy Davis with the movement of the Sun towards the sign of Libra. Just a day before the Sun moves into the sign symbolized by the Scales of Justice, an apparent injustice is committed, when they deny Troy Davis the opportunity to pass the lie detector, which his lawyers were appealing for. I couldn’t even pretend to know what happened on that night of August 1989, when the off-duty policeman Mark Mac Phail was shot. I will publish here the noon chart of Troy Davis, to see the revealing transits for that night, but none of us will ever know if he was guilty or not. But what it transpires quite clearly is that the lawyers obviously didn’t prove “beyond reasonable doubt” his guilt. Davis has been maintaining his innocence ever since and even just before he was executed.
In his birth chart we can see that the night of the shooting, the transiting Moon was in opposition to his Pluto and Mercury (who carries the souls to the Underworld of Hades)was coming to the conjunction of it. At the same time transiting Pluto was coming to the exact conjunction to natal Venus (to remind us of Afrodite’s journey down to the Underworld once again)and remained there for the length of the trial. He was experiencing the square of transiting Uranus to its own natal position, and transiting Neptune-Saturn where in perfect square to the Moon Nodes, typical moments when our Karma really manifests. Also opposing Chiron, which of course now for his execution Neptune-Chiron are in conjunction in Aquarius Pisces respectively. Unfortunately the lack of the time of birth does not allow us to see in which houses all of this happens. But as far as I am concerned the transits are very eloquent, at least to make us think.
Yet what is most disconcerting for me in this case, is the fact that the family of the victim, after 21 years, needed to go and sit in first row, to witness the execution to have some kind of “closure”. I wonder by which mysterious process this could happen.
As if now that the apparent killer (and I don’t know how come they don’t have any doubts of his guilt, since they weren’t there when it happened and it wasn’t proved beyond reasonable doubt) is also dead, they will have peace of mind and will be able to sleep? How?
All of these speaks to me of the need of our journey to the Underworld, where we find ourselves confronted by our most obscure nature. The one that hates, seeks revenge, kills, steals, feels envy, resentment, etc. And I also wonder who is free of such feelings? The Underworld of Pluto will remain dark as long as we keep on saying: “Me, jealous?, never!” ” I don’t feel envy, i only feel good envy? (Most of us say)
What about forgiveness? What about dealing with our own dark motives? Until when do we need to continue with ” eye for an eye…..”?
After 20 years we need to witness the death of the killer to have closure? how? How is that going to bring peace of mind? Obviously I wouldn’t pretend to know what they feel, since that has never happened to me.
But injustices happen all the time and we hate for it. Even in countries where the isn’t a death penalties, Courts are filled with cases of injustice, like in the case of Strauss Kahnn, versus the hotel maid. And we hate when we hear him speak after going back to France, in his “first statement after the event took place”. Not a hint of repentance or remorse. He said:” So everybody knows I like women, so what?”.
The Sun enters Libra as Amanda Knox also struggles to prove her innocence in an Italian court. The American student accused of killing her room mate in a small town in Italy where they were both students.
This New Moon forms when there are 6 planets in Libra, included Venus, its ruler. Mercury conjuncts the lunation which at the same time, re-enacts the cardinal T-Square, by opposing Uranus in Aries and squaring Pluto in Capricorn. This seems to be a reminder that we must continue with the change and not try to remain functioning from old patterns of behavior. Whatever is coming to an end in your life, this could be a decisive moment, when you realize the imminence of it all. A job, a relationship, a profession, a friendship, which does not allow you to grow anymore, must go, or at least transform. Cardinal signs are most affected by this lunation,in particular Cancer, which is the missing leg of the T-Square.
But none of these has to be a negative thing. On the contrary, this is an incredible opportunity for us to grow, into something better than now.
Venus in conjunction to Juno and Saturn in Libra, speak to us of the kind of relationship that has nothing to do with “being in love”. This is the work of the spouse. This is when we must find the balance between responsibility and pleasure in a relationship. This is the work that needs to be done, in order to have a rewarding long lasting relationship. Not the one, than when lust is over, we walk out of.
This is a process of priorities and real love. When we actually put on that Balance, what is most important for us and what is important to the other. And here is when Venus Saturn becomes so relevant. This is also a transit about self-steem, and how to obtain it.
If you were one of those lucky ones, that when you were a child and went: “-Look Daddy!, look Mummy!-” found a wonderful reflexion of a mixture of admiration and joy in the faces of your parents, then your job is easier. But if you haven’t then you’ll have to work for it.
Venus Saturn finds value in the effort of developing our “inner calling” like James Hillman calls it, in his wonderful book ” The soul’s code”. HE says that ” every soul comes responding to a call” and it is our main obligation to find out what that is and give expression to it. It is precisely the hard work that we put into it, that gives us value as individuals.
You may lose a relationship or your finances but you will never be able to lose the hard work you have put into the development of your own talents. It is in that work that our life finds meaning and value. It is that very work that makes us unique and powerful, because nobody can do that for us, nor can anyone take that away from us.
Watching XFactor USA the other night I suddenly realize the magic that these kind of programs have. With a phone call we can make somebody’s dream of doing what they love doing ALL THE TIME, and make money with it, come true.
We can do it for others but we must also do it for ourselves. Without loving what we do, there is no chance of loving anything else. It is through the hard work towards our dreams and the expression of our talents that we learn to truly love ourselves and gain self-steem. The real talent is not the abilities we are born with, but the work we must put in our lives to be able to develop them. That is the lesson of Venus-Saturn.
Mars in Leo will help us in the journey to become who we really are. Dare to change, dare to go after your dreams. The moment just before the New Moon is a moment of contemplation, of silence of the soul, so that we can silently understand what is demanding of us.

New Moon in Virgo and musings on Mercury retrograde – August 2011

Having gone through the second Mercury retrograde period of the year, which started on August 2nd and 3rd, and ended on the 27th, it seems refreshing to encounter a Virgo New Moon.
Many Mercurian things have happened, chief among them, the fact that most of the Northern Hemisphere celebrated their holidays, with many people traveling, cars being rented, people moving around, the stock markets trembling and a very Mercurian dictator and regime, brought down. I am referring of course to Libya and Muammar Gadhafi or Gaddafi (born June 7, 1942), who in his birth chart has 5 planets in Gemini, and in the chart of the regime or the revolution, built for September 1st, 1969 has the Sun in Virgo. It only seems appropriate that it should come down on a Mercury Retrograde period. Not underestimating the other extraordinary aspect, like the Cardinal T-square (Uranus-Saturn-Pluto), which is changing the world as we speak. These are glorious historical moments for Astrology, since we are getting the opportunity to see what happens when these powerful planets aspect each other in such fashion. It reminds us that it is all about angularity, in Astrology, as it is in Physics, o well, may be not all, but a lot.
I will not indulge on the subject of the Cardinal T-Square, since I and many others have written a lot about it. Search this blog, for articles on Uranus in Aries or Saturn in Libra or Pluto in Capricorn , and you’ll be able to read about this.
Still, I would love to share some of my experiences on this Mercury retrograde period, just ending. Positive and negative aspects of it, which they ALWAYS end up being positive at the end, leaving us with the feeling of: “Ok. Now I know what I have to do” having gone through a lot of soul searching and the revising and re-analyzing of certain situations that need our attention and resolution.
The concept of Mind comes to mind, if you’ll excuse the repetition, as in many philosophies and religions, this seems to be a bad word. I have heard: “when the mind starts acting, then it ruins it all” WHAT?!! Without my Mind I, for one, would not be here writing this, nor would I have gone through all the years of training and studying to arrive to where I am today. And although I understand what they mean, I think that many people repeat these concepts without really knowing what they are saying.
IT is true that if I am sitting in front of a beautiful sunrise or sunset, I do not need my Mind, but I would definitely need it if I want to share it, or tell it to someone else. I need my mind to be able to find the words to express and appreciate such beauty, to be able to talk or write about it. Mercury, this little planet almost suffocated by the Sun, rules the concept of Mind, and we don’t know exactly to what extent.
During this process I found myself reading The Theory of Everything by Ken Wilber, which reminded me that functioning just from the Mind, or the Soul, or the Spirit or our Instincts is not the complete experience. It is when we find the harmony and alignment of all these aspects that we can SEE, with clarity and understand what’s going on. This Mercury retrograde happened in the angles of my second-eighth house, and some money I am owed , that was suppose to be paid out to me, during August, didn’t happen.
But here we are now on a Virgo New Moon, at the end of the holidays and a feeling of being back to normality is beginning to creep in, this time with a wonderful comforting feeling of: “Right!, must do this and this and this………” if I want my finances and my professional life to amount to something that I can be content with. Virgo rules the 6th house of our daily work, among other things. What we do, everyday, for work even if it isn’t our vocation. But the real work of Virgo is that of Service. Barack Obama comes to mind, who in spite of being a Leo, has Sun and Mercury in the 6th house, who before becoming a Senator or a President, worked in Social Services most of his life.
This lunation has the Sun-Moon-Venus conjunction in Virgo in a grand trine to Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus. It sound great! and it probably brings loads of positive possibilities and projects for many people, especially those with planets in Earth signs.
But it receives an opposition from Neptune retrograde in Aquarius at the moment and next to Chiron. Mars in Cancer is still in square to Saturn, which indicates that there must be some obstacles on the way, that one must overcome. Obstacles are often on the way, not just to upset us, but to push us to be ever so clever and resourceful in whatever we do. It is in our ability to surpass them that the lessons are learnt and our self-steem becomes stronger.
This is a positive New Moon, where the subjects of work, health and money are pivotal. This is a good time to get a medical checkup if you feel you need one. It is also a very good time to feel the impulse and study the situation before you jump into it. Are you doing what your soul is asking you to do? Are you expressing yourself and your spirit through your work?. Do people benefit from your work? Do you? Are you looking after your health properly? Are you exercising enough? Do you feel strong to deal with your life at the moment. All of these questions need an answer at this time. Only for yourself and not for anybody else.
Virgo confronts us with the need to find meaning in our work, with the understanding, that whatever work we do, must be of some service to Humanity, one way or another. The need of a healthy body is also a Virgo them, and this case in particular, with Venus being part of the New Moon, we are reminded to let our beauty flow, to do everything according to our most inner values and the concept of Beauty should be part of everything we do, from the inner landscapes of our soul.

The Mars-South Node conjunction in Gemini and the events of past week end, plus the charts of Amy Winehouse and Anders Breivik

What a week end we just had! wonderful from the point of view of sports, with Uruguay’s football team winning the South-American cup. Evans, the Tour of France and Hamilton, the race of Formula 1.
Yet, we had a lot of death in many different situations.
The attacks and shooting in Norway shocked the world. Once again, one of us ( by this I mean, somebody from the human race) flips and goes out on a killing rampage. It has happened before, but not in Norway.
As always i had a look at the ephemeris hoping something dramatic would jump at simple view of it, that I hadn’t noticed before. But it wasn’t that simple.
Taking into consideration that it had all started with a car bomb, i logically thought Uranus-Pluto again, but it had all taken place at a Youth Camp, so Jupiter, had to be part of the equation, I thought. Mercury would have been there too, since is Hermes, who delivers the Souls down to the Underworld, as we saw in the charts of the September 11th attacks.
Looking at Noruega’s birthchart drawn for Independence day on June 7th 1905. Coincidentally, in this birthchart we can see Uranus by transit and in retrograde motion in the 8th house in square to itself in the 4th.
But that has been going on for a bit, so what could have detonated this terrible events, this particular week end?
The actual conjunction of Mars-Lunar Node at 22º of Gemini, falls right on the Sun-Pluto conjunction of the Independence chart.
The Moon in Taurus in square to the Sun in Leo, on Friday, made a square to the Moon-Chiron Opposition in the chart. The Sun in Leo also made a quincux to the Saturn-south Node conjunction in Piscis, which does speak of inocent victims.
But when the Mars-South Node conjunction really begins to emerge as the major influence is when we have a look at Amy Winehouse’s birthchart and Anders Breivik’s chart, the perpetrator of such hideous killings.

What immidiately jumps from the charts is the Neptune around the 22º of Sagittarius, hence being opposed by the Mars-lunar node conjunction and in both charts in aspect to the Moon. In Amy’s case, in conjunction in Breivik’s case in square. The latter has being undergoing in the past few years a transit from Neptune to his stellium of planets in Aquarius (Mars-Sun-Ceres-Mercury-Vesta), which explains to me at least, the fact that he has become confused about his role in the world, becoming in his fantasy, the chose one, to carry out such revengeful act. Mars has been by transit now, making a square to his Moon-Saturn conjunction, which speaks volumes of his own resentment being projected outwardly to a particular group, reinforced by his Sun-Mars conjunction in Aquarius.
In Amy’s case, her wellknown self-hatred, expressed in her addictions and self-destruction, is evident if we bring our attention to her Sun-Mercury conjunction in Virgo as part of a T-square to the Moon-Neptune in Sag and Vesta in Gemini, around the 20º.
Anyone with some knowledge of Astrology and/or important aspects of Neptune, know that this planet confront us with the difficulty of being incarnated and being human. In fact, Neptune’s voice whispers in our ears: “You are special, not of this Earth, above human needs, in league with the Gods”, which could be great if you have any creative outlet, but even then, as in the case of Amy and Anders, difficult to manage in the real world.

Wow! Can’t believe that I haven’t written in English since June, but my blog in Spanish and life, seem to be taking most of my time at this particular moment.
So many incredible things have happened in this past month, with the fall of News of the World and hence of Rupert Murdoch and the arrest of Rebekah Brooks-Wade, the release of Casey Anthony, all around the time of this powerful Full Moon in the Capricorn-Cancer angle, which brings forth the subject of orbs when it comes to the astrological aspects.
This was the Capricorn Moon after the Cancer Solar Eclipse on July 1st and it completes the cycle of lunation that aspected the Great Cardinal T-Square, that is changing the world as we watch it happening.
This Full Moon at 22º Capricorn 27′ doesn’t by orb aspect this T-Square, but Venus in Cancer does. Meaning, Venus at 13º Cancer 35′makes a conjunction to the Sun, opposition to the Moon and Pluto in Capricorn, a square to Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries, and yet more Heads of Great Institutions (Pluto in Cap and Saturn in Lib) dive down from great positions of power.
Although there isn’t a time of birth for Rebekah Brooks, we can see in her birthchart, her natural talent for the position she had as Editor of one of papers of one of the most powerful News Empires in the World.
Sun-Moon-Mar-Mercury in Gemini. Yet, that Venus in the last degrees of Taurus and right next to the Sun in Gemini is tied up in a T-Square to Jupiter and Neptune, which also speaks volumes of the situation she finds herself in. Venus (her values) with Jupiter (grandiosity) and Neptune (blurred limits, dubious reasoning and a tendency to find “other” ways of making things happen), could have helped her turn a blind eye to not-so honest ways of getting the news.
The Full Moon this past weekend made an almost exact square to her Saturn (Lord of Karma), at the same time that Saturn by transit, is about to oppose itself. These are times when we have to confront the result of past decisions and actions. And this is one of those times for Rebbekah Brooks
I tend to think that she probably has a Fire ASC, probably at the last degrees of Aries, which will put that Venus in Taurus in the 1st or 2nd house and probably Neptune in the 8th. That red hair! Well, that is just my imagination. But what do you think?
The most incredible thing is the fact that Rupert Murdoch, also has his Saturn at 21º but of Capricorn exactly square Rebekah’s Saturn, as part of THE t-square which resembles the actual one, which happened in the 30′s, involving Saturn in Capricorn, Pluto in Cancer and Uranus in Aries, which was also the time of the GREAT DEPRESSION. Isn’t Astrology wonderful?
If the time of birth of Rupert Murdoch is the right one, it means he has Saturn by transit over his 10th house. Fall from grace?
They both have Venus-Neptune contacts which speaks of “not so defined” set of values and Murdoch has his Moon in trine to Neptune.

JUPITER IN TAURUS

After a year of its transit through the sign of Aries, Jupiter finally moves to Taurus, first earth sign of the zodiac, ruled by Venus, Goddess of Love, Beauty and Money, on June 4th, exactly at 13:56 GMT. Even though we cannot say that Jupiter in Aries was responsible for the public demonstrations around the world, against corrupt governments, it was no doubt an indispensable ingredient of it all. Jupiter correlates with young people and to the great ideals of humanity, Jupiter signifies the best in us. Obviously, in the sign of Aries, first Fire sign of the zodiac, ruled by Mars (the warrior, the soldier, God of War) it awoke the warrior in all of us and very especially in young people. Even in Spain, youngsters have manifested and are still manifesting against the mismanagement of fonds and corruption in the government. (Pluto in Capricorn)
Jupiter stays about a year in each sign, since it takes about 12 years to complete its journey around the sun, so it is an important ingredient in the trend of the year ahead. Taurus is a very different sign to Aries. For one thing, this earth sign is slow, very slow.
Aries is very impulsive and Taurus takes its time. This sign enjoys the pleasures of life too much, to move around too quickly. After a good meal, the most important things for Taurus is what the Spanish call “sobremesa”, the conversation, the coffee, the brandy, the whisky, etc. And of course, the explanation of how the meal was prepared!

Sorry! It wasn’t the cucumbers!” (Ceres, Goddess of Agriculture in square to the Moon Nodes, for this eclipse)
With the financial crisis still a reality, Jupiter in Taurus, augurs us some kind of improvement, especially in its contact to Pluto in Capricorn, by trine (120º) which will happen around July, October, 2011 and March 2012.
The importance of beauty, pleasure and financial security in our lives is the main lesson of Jupiter in Taurus.

The eclipses of June, 2011

One of the most wonderful qualities of Astrology is that it helps us understand the importance of NOW, since this science is the constant reminder, that each moment is special and unique due to the fact that planets are never in the same position through out our lives. There isn’t a single moment of life, identical to another, a single month or year same as the previous one or the one after. So, investigating, living, experiencing the NOW in all its possibilities, is always the thing to do.
Each day is important and relevant and different. So, just as we thought that May was so special, due to the alignment of planets, in the sign of Taurus, here comes June with 2 eclipses and the entry of Jupiter in Taurus after one year of transit through Aries.
June begins with a partial Solar Eclipse at 11º of Gemini, bringing the attention and challenges to the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces). The Full Moon or Lunar eclipse follows on the 15th, at 24º Sagittarius. The last of these eclipses will be on July 1st, at 9º of Cancer, but I will talk about this one later, since it activates the current cardinal t-square, that we all know about, by opposing Pluto in Capricorn and forming a double square to Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries.
Eclipses are considered quite negative and difficult, in general, quite justly so, if we think that many wars have started exactly on the day of the eclipse and not because politicians know about Astrology but because of the mystery of it. Important natural disasters, also often occur at the time of the eclipses and emotions seem to be at a high point coinciding with such events.
Instead of being frighten by the thought of it, it is always better to have a more positive approach to them, and be ready for challenges that we really need to sort out.
Yet this morning, i saw in the news that Germany has blocked the import of some vegetables from Spain, alleging that they are infected by some virus. This of course is a disaster for Andalucia and other regions of Spain that export their produce daily.
If we look at the chart of this eclipse tomorrow, we can see, that the Lunar Nodes are as expected, quite close to the lunation, since this is what happens when we have an eclipse, but they are exactly square Ceres (the Goddess of Agriculture) at 23º Pisces.
Since this New Moon is also in an exact trine to Saturn, taking responsibility for our actions and decisions of the past, is imminent, as we can see in the scandal at the top of FIFA, the trial of Strauss-Kahn about to start this month, or the extradition of Mladic.
It will be very interesting to see what the Lunar Eclipse on July 15th will bring about this cases, since it ignites the Cardinal T-square which seems to resonate to these cases mentioned above.
But June brings also, the entry of Mercury to Gemini, on the 3rd, Venus on the 10th and Mars on the 21st. Jupiter finally moves to Taurus on the 4th. Neptune begins its retrograde motion on the 3rd making a square to Mercury. Neptune will re-enter Aquarius on the 5th of August until February 4th 2012, when it will come back to Pisces to stay for the next 14 years.
On the 13th of June, Saturn will station direct (finally!), to leave that 10º of Libra and the proximity to the T-square and move on.
With Mercury, Venus and Mars in Gemini, the pace will seem faster and lighter. We will have more time to communicate and reach out to other people. Mercury will square Neptune, on the 3rd and 4th, making difficult to make important decisions, so wait few days. It will trine Saturn on the 7th and 8th, so that will be a much better time to commit to anything. Be patient.
June 9th and 10th, Venus will make the square to Neptune, which is such a great opportunity for creative endeavor but also a moment of caution when it comes to relationships and meeting new people, as is easy not to see reality, under this transit.
Mars will do it on the 20th and 21st, so again, if you are doing something creative, could be fantastic, but when it comes to our health and our energies, we need to be careful.
So if you thought that this month starting tomorrow, was just one more month, think again.
The Full Moon and Lunar eclipse on the 15th, is a kind of culmination of the situations highlighted by the Solar Eclipse of June the 1st. In a lunar eclipse the Moon moves through the shadow of the Earth as if hiding from ourselves and it becomes difficult to express our emotions or even recognize its origin. In this lunation, the Sun is in conjunction to Mercury and the Moon opposes it, and it all happens in line with the Galactic Center, situated a around 27º of Sagittarius.
It might be a difficult time for confronting our emotions and the origin of them. Something has to be assimilated and brought into our conscience. Let’s face the facts and act upon it, with integrity and courage. And above all, don’t forget that it all depends on what vantage point you are looking from. Things always can be seen in different light, if we are brave enough to find out.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the Full Moon in Scorpio in May

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, director of the IMF, with a birth chart depicted above, according to Astro-Data Bank and Astrotheme, is arrested in New York on Saturday 14th, for allegedly raping a maid of the Hotel he was staying. According to the newspapers, he was staying in a 2.100 euros a night suite.

Two nights before the Scorpio Full Moon, which happened to be in a tight T-square to Neptune. Now we all know that the previous 2 nights before a Full Moon are the strongest in expressing the energies of the Lunation.

Neptune the focal planet of this T-square which happens to be in the Scorpio-Taurus angle, we can easily conclude that strong sexual (Scorpio) fantasies (Neptune) are in the air, as well as some kind of secret (Scorpio) affairs.

If we look at his birth chart the stellium of planets in Taurus including Sun-Mars (in Aries) with Moon in Aries, all indicates an impulsive nature, self-centered attitude. Pluto from the 1st house in quite a tight square to Venus, remind us of Persephane-Hades myth.

As it happens, this tragic week end, the Full Moon in Scorpio was making an aspect to that Mars (The Sun in quincunx to natal Mars) his sexuality, at the same time that by transit, Mars in Taurus was sitting right on his natal Sun. Pluto from the 6th hse, in trine to natal Venus and in Square to the MC. Hi career has greatly suffered as he was forced to resign as the head of the IMF. Also in opposition to Pallas in the 12th hse, the goddess that most rejects rape.

Is funny how this things manifest in the birth-chart with so much accuracy.

Most people in France think he is the victim of a conspiracy, but as an astrologer I cannot be blind to these configurations in his chart.

Which ever way, he is in his journey to Hades underworld, having spent 4 or 5 nights in Jail, after being denied bail by a woman judge. Yet today, in a second hearing he has been granted bail, a very expensive one by the way. Can’t wait to see what happens in the trial as he has been officially charged with 7 counts of sex crimes.

His lawyers are suggesting that it was consensual sex, but I find it hard to believe that this maid, who is working, felt suddenly attracted to a 60 years old man, coming out of the shower, without him offering her or forcing her to do it. But that is just my opinion, we’ll have to see what happens, but on Monday, the news that Gadhafi was giving Viagra to his soldiers as a weapon for rape, also reminded me of the power of a Scorpian Full Moon.

We must not forget that Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto, which is the planets that loves bringing the dirty laundry out in the open, especially of powerful men, as the transit of Pluto continues through Capricorn!
